Fiestas Patrias of Austin welcomes you to our newest web-site to promote our 3rd annual Cinco de Mayo Fiesta. This fiesta will take place on May-1 thru May3, 2009 at Fiesta Gardens Park located at IH 35 and Lady Bird Lake. This website is still under construction and as we get more information and details about the upcoming event we will update this web site.
Since 1978 Fiestas Patrias of Austin a 501 (3) c non-profit organization has served the Hispanic community by preserving and promoting our Hispanic through festivals. A culture rich in history, heritage, and traditions with deeply rooted blood lines on both sides of the Rio Grande.
The addition of the Cinco de Mayo event along with our annual Diez y Seis de Septiembre fiesta gives our organization a festival in the spring and at the end of the summer season. These two events with hopefully allow us to continue to increase funding for youth program, scholarships, and community events such as our annual free Thanksgiving Dinner for the community.
Visit our web pages to get more information on the entertainment, activities, sponsors and community organizations that are needed to make this event a success.
